Free kitten.

We found a kitten in my cousins yard yesterday evening and it needs a good home. It is maybe 8 weeks old and very loving and affectionate, it got along great with our dogs and loves to be held. Appeared to have a little sore eye when we found it but we cleaned it up and is fine this morning. Apparentley is litter broken it just used the box here. Anyone interested let me know today as we will be taking it to the pound this evening.

Makes no difference, they work with the shelter.

Yes it does make a difference.
The ones taken in by PAWS are fostered in homes until they're adopted.
The ones in the shelter are either adopted or euthanized - depending on space.

PAWS works with the shelter to help adopt out what they can (during adoption events), but at the end of the day if they're not adopted they go back.

I will add - there's not always a guarantee that a foster home would be available but its worth asking. I myself cannot take in cats, some other fosters are in the same boat.

Additionally if you can hang on to it until the next adoption event you may be able to find it a home then. It's cute. It's small. People like that.

(It might have an URI from the looks of that eye though)

Oh well, blame my wife for that one, she was big into Paws and helping all she could and she is the one in charge of all that. She has allready taken it to the shelter.
